THE STORY
Balancing that line of art and function, I tried to implement that in an entry-way mirror. Something that can look nice standing alone but also function to assist with your everyday-carry needs. Inspired by someone dear to me, I wanted to continue with the already sleek and modern decor she had in her home.
Once the design was settled, then came the hard part. How to find a way to hang it as if it were floating? Engineering something to look “simple” became quite a challenge. After many prototypes “Here’s Lookin At You” was born.
The name of this piece is a direct quote from the movie “Casablanca”. I won’t describe the scene, just watch the movie.
